El Buggito De los Diablos

I began this project just before starting college...5 years later, I finally got around to finishing her. These are some of the  pictures taken during  creation...

2 months in we had no clue how long it would take... The elements had taken their toll on the buggy's exposed steel.  So February '98, grinders and torch in hand, we went to work.

This shot shows the little ride just back from sandblasting.

Here she's getting her final wiring done... It's really easy to take the electrical system in your car for granted. That is until you try and build a complete wiring harness on your own. The tips of my fingers hurt for days...

The heart of a Wee VW Beetle beats down there somewhere beneath all the aftermarket add ons and case machining... Twin Dellortos 40's really add punch...

Completed at last... Completely street legal, here you see the little road hellion finished...itchin' to eat some street...

Probably the single most entertaining aspect of  this car is driving it at night.  In the passengers seat, you can lean back comfortably and get an amazing view of the heavens.  Even in a straight line, the stars seem to swirl around above you.   I've yet to purchase or build any other vehicle that gives off  a buzz like this one.
